Assuming it's a 4.2 AJV8, that DTC indicates an immobiliser or communication with immobiliser (VIM) problem. Check power to VIM, then check CAN circuit from ECM to IPK to VIM, also check you can communicate with all those modules, 2009 could have medium speed CAN between those modules which is capable of operating in single-wire mode, not always successfully though.

Sorry, for some reason I thought it was a SC version, not NA.
I'm not generally disposed to give 'step by step' guides for such basic checks, if you need to know how to check supply voltage and ground connections and CAN voltage, then it's probably best that you engage the services of a professional.
