Looks smart and cheap for what it is.
Don't know what kind of Landu your looking for matey, but might just be worth checking out a trade in price, there's some good deals around at minute.
Just a thought, eBay wasn't very successful, I was talking to a guy just yesterday who was telling me that the eBay is getting flooded with immigrants wanting to purchase cheap cars and is driving prices down apparently they have about 20 of them watching then bidding at last minute with low price with the hope of catching one,
It's amazing me how many of the non workers are running around in 5 or 6 year old cars, anyway don't get me on it, sorry your motor didn't sell on there.
Good luck

Thanks for the heads up on that one, 58 watchers on the car, never had so many watchers on an item!! I was expecting a message after the auctioned ended and low and behold an offer off £3600 appeared told him that that was the trade price for one in poor condition with high mileage and to do one! didnt know that was their plan so cheers for that! :)

trade in wouldn't really work for me because they'd prob only give me £4000 for the car if i was lucky which would leave me searching for extra cash to put to whatever car i ended up with cuz dealers never do a straight swap

Apparently this is now the norm massive watches and in last few mins or so **** bids going up in fivers and all sorts.
Stick to your guns mate it's a nice car don't let it go cheap,
My wife's sister works in Asda, and went to work parked it in works car park with for sale sign in window and sold it in first few hours, apparently more footfall than eBay and no charges, I'm gonna try it with daughters car, it's free, people can look round for nothing with no one hassling, then ring or leave number if interested, bet you've an asda near you or tesco etc, just drive it down leave it for a day with sticker in window, got to be worth a punt,

To belay any potential fears as its the cheapest VRS TDI on autotrader with less than 100, 000 miles here's the details on the service history as to what has been carried out.

Details in service Book:

  • Originally delivered to Robert Eardley & Son Skoda Crewe Cheshire 03/07/07.
  • PDI'd 25/06/2007 @ Robert Eardley & Son Skoda Crewe Cheshire.
  • 1st Service (oil & inspection) 08/05/2008 @ 6385 Miles @ Progress Skoda Bedford
  • 2nd Service 11/08/2010 (oil & inspection) @ 31639 miles @ Progress skoda Letchworth
  • 3rd Service 23/09/2011 (oil & inspection) @ 45790 miles @ DM Keith Skoda, York.
  • 4th Service 26/07/2012 (oil & inspection + Air Filter, Fuel Filter & Brake fluid) @ 55733 miles @ DM Keith Skoda York
  • Last entry & 5th Service 22/05/2013 (oil & Inspection) @ 61829 miles @ Rossmoor Garage (Marked as skoda service partner) York.
Subsequent work carried out since taking ownership in August 2014:

  • 4 Pirelli tyres and tracking, fitted fronts around August 2014 time with tracking and rears in December 2014
  • 24/11/2014 Cambelt, water pump, coolant & tensioners, £377.70 @ 64285 miles @ The Lion garage, Hinckley
  • 13/03/2015 Check for oil leak (found on MOT) found to be leaking diesel from tandem pump, replaced pump + oil and filter change £383.43 @ 74092 miles @ The Lion garage, Hinckley, front brakes also noted as poor on this trip to the lion garage.
  • 20/06/2015 Fuel filter from Bedworth skoda, fitted by myself, £31.14.
  • 01/07/2015 checked for coolant leak, found to be leaking coolant housing underneath tandem pump, replaced housing and also tightened V Band on DPF which had worked loose, £124 @ 81727 miles @ Lion Garage Hinckley
  • 24/08/2015 rear wiper and washer jet become intermittent, new motor £61.20 ( Eurocarparts) and rear jet £13( genuine) fitted around 13/09/2015.
  • I have also changed the front brakes as noted on the tandem pump housing but neglect when in 2015 I changed them and the mileage I changed them at, changed by myself.
Car has wanted for nothing as you can has had nearly £1400 in the last year.

Oil and filter change will be due in march 2016 and I'll be having the brakefluid changed at the same time.

If I'm honest the front tyres have around 2k miles left in them, but they will probably be changed mid October when funds allow.

Any queries let me know
