Just had a wonderful 2.5 hours trying to change a wheel for the spare using the RR supplied equipment. The Jack seems to be for a Mini and the 2 extension bars broke after a few turns - they twist on each other quite happily! - Borrowed a trolley jack in the end. What I'd like to know is there a replacement set of parts that can be used to jack up the car that could be made to fit in the boot compartment that is there already? Really disappointed in the quality of the supplied gear. Luckily this was on a sunny day in my drive and not in the pouring rain at the side of the road!
I can't be the only one that thinks the stuff supplied is rubbish, so someone must have come up with an alternative.....
Over to you lot!

Assume same susp set up as D3?
In which case they are clever buggers, and you have to know how to play with them, so you need a D1/D2 bottle jack, place said jack under lower suspension arm as close to tyre as you can but without the jakc touching the tyre (doors shut ign off) and start jacking, once the car sees that corner is going up it takes over and carries on lifting that wheel up an inch or so making thw whole job a piece of psis.

Whole wheel on/off job under 5 minutes a corner.

Some people use the merc sprinter jacks under the chassis frame, but it takes way to long to do the job compared to the D1/2 bottle jack trick.

Thanks for the info. I guess a little bottle jack is the answer. Getting used to "quality" parts on the Sport now. Should have got a Vogue but I've had this one a while now and it's only got 83k on the clock. Actually in for a service tomorrow so there's a big hole in the wallet approaching!!

Yep it's a 2.7. Something to look forward to then. Still on our Island the speed limit is 35mph, so hopefully it'll not have had to work too hard in its life.

Clean bill of health from the service, had all the transfer and axle oil changed as well so that's good for a few more miles. Just got a new fuel tank cradle (corroded) and sump pan (corroded) to change next year. Ho hum!!
