I was wondering if anyone could please tell me the correct procedure for a instrument cluster self test on a 4.2 RR l322 2006 model ?
I have looked at other procedures and tried them but they dont seem to work for some reason ?

I get as far as "Check Control Ok" but thats it ?

i have attached a picture of a instrument cluster the same as mine as im sure you are aware there are different versions

That looks like the 2002-2005 BMW IKE Instrument Cluster....(Scratch that - maybe not)

The BMW Test is to press and hold the Check Control Button for 7 seconds....then select Test Nr. 21...add the digits together, and then select Test Nr. 1 and enter that number...this unlocks the diagnostics....

but yours is the Ford designed version from 2006...which has a different cluster and doesn't run on the BMW system
