Hi all,
New on here and thought it good to join to see if anyone can help me with a problem i have with the parking sensors on my 2006 L322.
Started to play up about a year ago, rears worked ok but the two front right sensors wouldn't work. Took it to the dealer who had a look and ran some diagnostics and said it would need a new wiring loom. These cost about £1800 apparently, and my extended warranty didn't cover it. Because this was intermittent, i decided to live with the problem and be careful when reversing etc. Lately they seem to have packed up all together, bleeping when putting in reverse with the light flashing.
Anyone got any suggestions?
Richie.

Someone else has reported that failure of the loom is a known problem. Easy DIY repair I would think if you can solder.

Simple fault remove the bumper and you will find the loom loose and properly chaffed through where it is loose to move against the bumper skim repair the loom and gaffer tape the loom to the bumper job done
Done loads over the years takes about 4 hours to repair the loom from end to end use a multi meter to pin point the broken wire

i had the same problem, but mine were starting to corrode/bubble under the paint, like an old alloy wheel does.....i scraped off the corrosion, and used touch up paint, and they work like a dream now.
