hi folks

I have a problem with the rear wiper spindle on my Defender. The electric motor and gearbox are fine, however the teeth on the spindle have worn away so much that the wiper arm can't get a good grip on it. I've looked for a replacement spindle, but all I can see is those for the front. Is my only option to buy an entire new motor assembly? Seems a shame when everything else is ok.

Either use chemical metal, or file a flat on the spindle and drill and tap the arm then secure with a small bolt.

Are you certain it's the spindle? Mine looked crap but when I changed the wiper arm it worked fine. The notches on the arm are softer than the spindle
