On my last MOT one of the advisory points was corrosion of exhaust nuts and flange at rear of main silencer (original standard exhaust system), I have had a quick look and there is no say the nuts could be undone as they are well past it and crumbly so will need cutting or grinding off.
Question: are they bolts or studs, and are they fixed/welded to the flange or are they replaceable, the exhaust is still in excellent order and flange although rusty is still ok.
I know I can cut them off and then drill out holes if required but just want to be prepared and hope I can just cut nuts off and tap the bolts out the a hammer and replace with new stainless ones.
