ok so i bought my 2003 range rover td6 not long ago it has 130k on it,it felt much faster than my friends identical one same year engine ect i kind of thought his was maybe worn out.
Well since i have drove another one the same as mine and there is a noticable difference i am 99% sure it has a remap because the tourqe is a lot more! i also looked at a youtube video of one with a remap and mine gets to 60 even quicker than the one on the video

well my question is i was looking at a econemy remap although the car is good on fuel anyway i was thinking of this because i have read the gearboxes cant handle the extra power?

would i be better returning it to stock? i dont want a heafty bill although it is honestly so much faster than the other two i drove more fun tho! i had the traction control light flashing at traffic lights today!

Just budget for a new torque converter and re-con gearbox:rolleyes:
i have receipts for gearbox work a rebuild about 20k ago

honestly its like a different engine compared to the other two i have driven its a completely different method of power delivery just a massive wave of tourque and it just pulls and pulls sounds better aswell but i have a pipercross filter in it and the exhaust is stainless unsure if thats stock or not
