Hi all,
I have a 02 reelander td4, i started to have problems a while back all the ones you read on the site, well i got the fuel pump in the tank changed after the car failed, then the car was running like only 3 were firing found out it was the loom, now its the famous fuel pump buzz! the pump under the bonnet will buzz this started to stop as well, so i checked it and it look as if the plug had melted abit so all i had to do was wiggle it, then it was everytime i wanted to start i had to wiggle, so i cut the plug off and put good connecters on, all fine.......untill today, the buzz has stopped and i cant get it back?? i used to know that it was the plug now i have no idea :-(. has anyone else had this problem and had it fixed? im hoping its not the pump packed up, can i put a direct 12v feed to it to check? all answers and ideas welcome.....please!!! thanks all for reading.

Yes Nuts ,jist slap 12volts onnit ,but rig up a fuse on the poss line in case its got a dead short [same size as the one in yer cab marked fuel pump ] do half the size as the gaylander has two pumps on the same circuit. . . .:)

well i go to the freelander in the morning and the fuel pump buzzes!!! but the battery is dead. I have since jump started the thing and so far so good?? god knows it will have to go!
