Hi,

I have searched and read for hours on LPG conversions and still none the wiser.

I am looking to fit an LPG conversion and was wondering does anyone know of any good companies fitting them in the Berkshire area and what I would be looking at cost wise.

Also generally is it a good idea.

Thanks for your response in advance.

mornin'

sorry no idea of a fitter in Berkshire but putting a good sequential LPG system on the 4.6 is an excellent idea - keep all the power & refinement of the big V8 but with diesel economy.

LPG round here is between 70 - 76p/ltr.

The system I had fitted to mine by local indy (happy to give details if you want a trip oop north) was a BRC system; 95 ltr tank, 8 lpg injectors and fully integrated into the ECU so all the computer readouts still work & it's easy to get serviced

I'm a big fan of LPG.

Have you considered doing it yourself? A company called Tinley Tech sell kits for the Range Rover with various tank options for about £1200.

I'm not affiliated to them, but I am a customer. The system they supplied me is by BiGas.

I haven't fitted LPG to a Range Rover yet, but I'm about to. I did the install on my previous car (an X300 Jaguar) and it's pretty easy if you're methodical, don't rush, and follow the instructions. Tinley Tech were always happy to answer questions over the phone, and were very helpful from the start.

Once you've done the install you take the car up to them and they do an inspection, a tune up, and certificate it. Bingo.

The hardest bit will be drilling holes in your perfectly good inlet manifold. If you're not happy to do that, then a DIY install might not be for you.

If you ask for a fitter here...

Someone should be able to help you.

All,

Thanks for the replies.

I think being a coward when it comes to an engine a fitter would be best for me. :)

I will post how i get on.
