hi chaps, I picked up my 2012 double cab two weeks ago and have just completed 2000 miles. my last land rover was one of the last 300 tdi made in 2001 for none uk buyers. This was also a double cab. so whats better with the new one. well the first thing that hits you is its faster, just over 80 mph is there for the taking. the 6th gear makes the car so much better, less noice in the cab from the engine, but the same amount from the tires and wind noice. Its like driving a fast brick. but not all good news. so far the heater as packed in, needed two new hoses, and the bonnet catch stopped working, so also replaced by land rover. not to good on a nearly new car.
I think that land rover could of done a bit more for the money. better underseal would of been good. an electric ariel would also of been nice. and maybe better adjustment for the front seats.

Why is an electric aerial important to you, just out of interest?
I've lived with a Puma double cab for five years and yearned for a lot of improvements but an electric aerial has not yet featured in my dreams.

To be honest I would have thought they would have done away with the aerial in the wing in favour of a hidden one. I have fitted what's called a smart disk. It glues to top of cab and has a great signal.

Any links? My aerial is bolted in through the roof and not only leaks but interferes with stuff on my roof rack
