Hi guys, I wonder if any can help me with my 200 TDI will not run for more than two minutes then starts belching white smoke under fuel. I think I have changed the diff pump and a new filter all the returns from the injectors I have replaced the hoses. I noticed when I was bleeding it that the fuel is running back from the bleed screw so the fuel is actually running out of the filter somewhere would be much appreciate

Broken washer, or “o” ring missing on bleed screw, rubber seal damaged on filter, or cross threaded, or cracked filter head

Order up some banjos in the right sizes and some clear nylon pnumatic hose and make up some fuel lines.

I don't mean the whole lot, just bits and pieces.

It will let you, very easily, see air ingress etc.

Even if you just do the final bit from the filter to the injection pump, or the bit from the lift pump to the filter, youll be able to see something, and then, if you do have air ingress, you can go around dousing the fittings in wd40 (etc) to see how the ait bubbles change when youre spraying each union, and it wioo tell you whats leaking.

Mine is a 300 but same sort of idea. They can be a pain when the lift pump is sucking air, especially with the pump is half dead too (as they usually are if they've been on the motor more than 20 mins...)

Sounds like a plan thanks 🙏
