Hi,

Bit of a stupid problem I can't seam to resolve.
The front pipe is slipped over the turbo outlet and held on with a standard exhaust clamp. It is not supported anywhere else and simply bolts to the centre pipe. This was fine until I had to remove the exhaust and since re fitting it won't stay on, keeps slipping off at the turbo.

I have tightened it so much I have even stripped the bolt on the clam and have had to replace it. It still won't hold. I have tried adding a bit of exhaust paste, still no joy.

The pipe does have a bracket welded to it next to the block but there is nothing on the block to bolt it to.

The rest of the system is a Bossall so presume the front pipe is too.

Can anyone help I'm out of ideas?

Its perhaps the most awkwardly placed bracket on the whole car.

Which is why many get left off when the pipe is removed and then refitted.

My brkt only had one bolt fitted and the top was also blowing, removed pipe, sealant on the top and two bolts in the bottom and its been fine since.
My bracket is part of the downpipe maybe because its a stainless system?
