I am putting in a 200 tdi engine into a series 1 Land Rover with a series 1 gear box. Does anyone know what clutch cover assembly to use? I intend to use the series one pedal linkage and box. Comments and suggestions welcome. I know it all fits but I can't get the clutch to clear with the disco cover assembly. :welcome2:

Intercooler? why did you ask him that? pointless fitting one without the intercooler/turbo. well its been done the engine is less stressed la la.

If the gearbox is in good nick why worry about it? Its only shagged old units (ones that have been used and used and never serviced in like 20 years) that tend to dislike the power. Also worth a note its how you drive aswell. My series one and standard gearbox has a 3.9 V8 up front and although its not a road car I wouldn't worry about the box unless its worn noisey or hanging. If you are fitting the TDI mabe its worth the extra couple of hundrud quid top recon your gearbox so your drive train is in top notch condition.
