after the purchase of the 110 fell through. have been looking for a 90/110 300tdi 94-98 with less than 100,000. as this is the direction previous advise has sent me.

however i have found a 1992 90 seems to be in good order with 200tdi engine. should i let a couple of years difference and the 200tdi instead of 300 diswade me.

whats peoples opinions hold out for the 300 or compromise with the 200?????

I have never driven a 300 tdi but I am more than happy with my 200tdi and I wouldn't want to change it. Recently just completed a 7000 kl trip from France down to Spain, across to Morocco and back without any problems.

There were three 300tdi and a P38 plus mine on the trip. I felt mine copped very well and was probably one of the better ones. Going again in it next year. If you check out the best engine poll on here you will see the 200 tdi is out in front.

In my opinion the 200 is, by a small margin, better, and a little more robust. The water pump on the 300 is mounted higher on the front of the engine, making it less tolerant of water lose, for instance.

loads of ins and outs, 300 has a ladder strengthener, etc.. not much in it and it doesn't really matter imo :)
