This might sound a stupid question but i want to put a 2 inch lift kit with disc cones on my defender 90. I curruntly store my 90 in my brick garage with an up and over door i have about an inch before it touches the door. If i add a two inch lift will it actually raise it two inch or not or maybe an inch. I wanna keep it garaged because of the theiving scums. Worse comes to the worse i could let the tyres down.

Letting the tyres down and pumping them back up again when you want to use it would soon wear thin for me.

Suppose ill have to invest in a compressor. I only use it once in a while just a toy i have 265/75 16 insa turbo special tracks suppose id manage 3 inch

you might find you can get a bit more room by pushing the door right open, often they "rest" with the bottom panel at an angle, so if you push it right up and wedge a bit of wood in or something you get a bit more clearance. Works on mine anyway.

As you're feeling energetic though, you could get some spare wheels and fit low profile car tyres to them to use for getting it in and out the garage :p

Taking the roof off may be a good idea tho? What do u think? lol

Snigger :D Better than sitting on flat tyres though.
Oh and mines hasn't been on the road for 2-3 months so that's the best way for me ;)
Not like I have to put the roof on every morning :)

I had this issue - solved it by hiring a number of acro props from Travis and placed them under the roof joists, wound them up raising the roof and put a couple extra bricks under roof. Landy fits now
