Just completed a complete strip down and rebuild of my 2.5TD engine. Hear went to turner engineering to be done, and did the bottom end, and timing belt myself. Just finally got it all back together, and although two cylinders was initially down on compression a bit (you could hear it as I turned it over when priming the injectors) Its now settled down and starts up first turn of the key.

Just taken it for a quick spin, and its like driving a TDI, revs up nicely, and happy ticks, and seems to pull like a train. Its even staying cool without the fan on - I'm waiting for a new viscous fan coupling to arrive.

And above all its no longer blowing oil out of the top into the air filter!

If you have a TD that's not so healthy I would definitely recommend doing this as long as the head and bores are good.

Just going to pop down to Salisbury now and give it a good hot jet wash to get all the oil and muck off the underside that's been blowing out for the last few years - although the oil layer did seem to be a good at preventing rust!

Cool, good job, now keep that oil fresh in the TD and keep servicing perfect :D
