ey up folks just after a few pointers please, I've got a 2.5na to put in my lwb series 3,there was no 2.25 engine in it when I got it so at the minute I have a empty space under the bonnet, my engine choice probably won't impress most folks but hey ho it's my green machine

so my questions are what needs modding? I've read about swapping an engine mount and moving battery tray? I need a switched live to turn fuel on and off? Is there much else?? Answers on a postcard please.

R/H series engine bracket need turning upside down & welding to chassis and then bracket for N/A engine needs modding (IIRC) L/H side & Gearbox mounts all fit. so offer engine up and fit to those 3 & getting R/H mounts in right place becomes easier.

Pretty sure Gearbox flange Holes need to be drilled out to 10mm.

Do I need to do anything with clutch etc to make it fit to the series gearbox?

if yours is the 9 and 1/2 inch clutch it fits straight on you need your series clutch plate because of splines

Oh I will measure it up when I get chance, I don't have the series stuff as it came without the engine.

many thanks, i will get one of those as the clutch was slipping a bit in the engine i got
