Can anyone help. I have a 1987 2.5NA diesel 90. Oil keeps coming out of the oil filler cap. I have used gaffa tape around the top and knocked the filler down with a wooden hammer only to find the oil being forced out of the dip stick. The engine is running fine and the oil level is not above teh max.

Please help

Check yer breather aint blocked.

Failing that it's probably back pressure, so if it's running ok do what the rest do and take a hose from the crank case down to the chassis some where and let it **** out there. That should stop it ****ing out the dipstick and filler cap, until yer engine fooks up.

time fer a 200Tdi upgrade or a big overhaul methinks

If I were in that situation with that crap engine, I would look for a tdi, overhaul it and fook it in, and would not waste a penny on the NA one, not keen on second hand engines, do it yerself and you know it's right.

It's crankcase pressure caused by worn rings or worn cylinder bores. Engine out, rebore, new pistons and all the usual engine rebuild gubbins needed.
