Hi All
Don't know much about land rovers although think they are brilliant fun! I purchased a 91 defender for some fun at weekends etc about 2 months ago and no major problems although the defender has had a fair amount of work done prior to I bought it. It has 62k on the clock and been checked / serviced etc.....
Since I have had the defender it has probably done around 800 miles as quite like driving it!
I drove the defender about 60 miles this morning on a run towing a small trailer and then drove home later this afternoon, about 10 mins into my return journey I was going up a hill on dual carriageway @ roughly 60 mph when I noticed a spray coming from the under the bonnet and hitting the windscreen. It was green and looked like coolant, it lasted for about a minute and maybe only a cupful / pint coolant was sprayed up! I stopped and there was no steam and the engine temp was normal and the spray had stopped. I then drove another 50 miles home again on a dual carriagway and the engine did not become hot or change temp from normal infact it ran really well! Got home and looked under the bonnet and a small about about of green spray under under the bonnet but nothing major and no obvious source. Could it be something to do with the hill?
Anyone any ideas please?
Thank you
