Hi, I have a series1 with a 2.25 diesel. It looks to be a reasonable conversion and apparently was running (where have I heard that before) about three years ago!!! It is currently in my shed in another state(700ks) away so I was wondering if anyone has a checklist etc; so I can prepare items before I head over to try and start it. Any info is greatly appreciated, thanks:)

All I did with mine was remove the glow plugs and squirt some penetrating oil in the cylinders and turn it over a few times by hand, service it and fill the new oil filter first and fill the fuel filter also, then it should start straight up, expect some some first of all as it burns of the penetration fluid

Drain the fuel tank...derv goes off,

Renew the fuel filter,

If you have a starting handle...give it a few turns to make sure all is free.

Nick.

Hand prime the fuel system, crack the injector unions a bit before turning over on the battery. It will need priming after that lay up, nip the injectors up when it starts to fire up.
Change the oil before you try and start it.
