Hi all,

Buying my first Landy, a 110. I’ve spent about a year on n off looking!

The one I’m buying is MOT’d and all solid apart from crusty corners on the bulkhead (small rust holes). The seller can sort this for me fitting the repair panels for £500 which sounds reasonable, or I could live with it for a while (maybe smarten up with some filler/paint) and sort them later.

Undecided, what would you do?

I wouldn’t just bodge it with filler as it will just get worse.

Get it fixed properly.

How much you thinking of spending?

I’ve decided to bite the bullet and get the bulkhead done before picking it up, thanks for the feedback.

Unless the seller is someone you know well I would ask to go and inspect the bulkhead when the corners have been cut off.

Make sure he doesn't just plate over the bulkhead rot with the plates. The rot should be all cut out before the panels are welded on, otherwise you will be doing it all again in a few years time.

Is the rest of the bulkhead ok? especially footwells. Rip the carpets back if there is any don't be shy ;)
