i havent updated for a little while so i think its about time while i got 5 minutes
i put a few coats of stone chip over the chassis to stop it rusting again with the moisture in the air

new engine is out it is suposed to be reconitioned engine and box but have no receipts to prove so its going off for a bit of an overhall

i obviously have to fit new engine mounts for the 300 so what i done was cut the old ones off so the welds were still proud and ground the welds off with a flapping disc to leave a nice surface on the chassis. with the 300 mounts i cut a big chunk off the 110 chassis out as i dont need it and got the mounts off on the bench where access is 100% better done a load of measuring and away i went and welded the new ones on fingers crossed its all ok. also i fitted gearbox mounts off the 300 to my chassis this was a simple bolt on job.

now the the work on the chassis is finished ive spayed the whole thing with a gloss black paint to make it all waterproof and hopfully rust free for years to come.
[/IMG]
[/IMG]
next i stripped cleaned with a wire head on the grinder and brush painted all the items to start building the chassis back up, once the paint had dryed we went about fitting all the poly bushes this was a nightmare!!!! after a few different ways of trying to fit them we found it best to put them in boiling water and make a tool out of 2 plates metal and a cut down peace of thread bar and it still werent easy but it done the trick.

now we can turn the ratchets to clock wise and start bolting bits on im using stainless bolts on pretty much everything. all new parts seen are from bearmach they are cheaper than any other specialist mainly because they supply to them and they are also cheaper than the net by a long long way. im fitting Salisbury axle pro-comp +2 shocks and springs with tubular shock turrets and heavy duty rears also fitted +2 braided hoses all new bearings seals gasket discs pads disc protectors and calipers to the axles. the fronts have been treated to uprated cut and drilled discs and uprated pads

engine is back
treated to new timing belt kit, auxilary belt, headgasket, waterpump, thermostat, drive belt tensioner pulley clutch and a general strip down and clean whilst the head was off it clearly showed this engine had been apart and rebuilt at some time so the reconditioning was correct which im over the moon about.
