After helping BigSi with clutch and flywheel housing gasket on Saturday, it became apparent that his disco 200tdi flywheel housing had the wading plug tapped and drilled in, whereas the 19j one fitted to mate with the lt77 merely had a hole which led to the cavity on the engine. There is a channel, and a flat section which looks like it may have been the location of the drain plug on older blocks. As the engine doesn't have a hole to leak this fluid anywhere, it pooled up and got quite nasty.

Has anyone else with this conversion found this? Simple case of drilling and tapping flywheel housing, but if ya don't know about it, it can be a ball ache
