Have recently had new eas compressor and mounting bushes fitted. I now have loud resonance inside the car when compressor running. r.r. dealer says this is normal - I dont think so. Any ideas.

How tight are the nuts that hold the EAS compressor in place?? Sounds like the nuts have been done up too tight and have crushed the bushes removing the damping effect they give.

Theres a technical service bulletin about this also, it reads...

It has been found that the air compressor mounting torque is incorrectly specified in the workshop manual the
incorrect torque is shown as 7 Nm, the figure should read 1.5-2.0 Nm.
These fixings are torqued to the correct figure on initial assembly at the Land Rover factory, therefore this
bulletin is only relevant to vehicles having the air compressor removed and replaced in service.
As a result of over torquing on these fixings, a ‘humming’ noise may be heard within the vehicle whilst the air
compressor is running.

So I would loosen off the nuts a little and then re-tighten them to the specified torque level. If you dont have a torque wrench then I would have someone sit in the vehicle while you loosen off and re-tighten the nuts so they can shout at you when its all good

They should have fitted nyloc locking nuts so they dont vibrate loose through time
Very soft rubber in the bushes and it doesn't take much to crush them - try slackening them off as already mentioned
