Hi all,

Very long time not posting as life has vastly changed and I don't get time to play with my P38 anymore.

It's a 1998 2.5l DSE spec vehicle in Oxford Blue which has had lots done to it and it's pretty much a DHSE spec now.

It was in daily use until around the end of 2016 and was then used on and off for various small trips after that. It's still in a relatively good condition and it starts, runs and drives.

It's had thousands spent on it over it's years with me, I purchased it in 2006. It's got the later M51 diesel engine from a 2001 DHSE which was professionally fitted after the last engine suffered from a cracked head and a damaged block. It's got a refurbished transmission from Ashcroft transmissions. It has the official nudge bar and driving lights. It sits on 18' L322 wheels with 4 decentish tyres.

If you fancied an off-road project then this would be a good vehicle to use as a base, or, if you wanted, you could put it back on the road with not too much work. It could also be used for spares if you wanted.

My job now doesn't allow the spare time to play with toys like I used to so this has to go.

It's got loads of spares to go with it and I'm happy to include these.

As mentioned it's in relatively good condition, the bodywork has a few dings and the front bumper has a bit of damage from a bash. It does suffer from some aluminium rot in places. The headliner is sagging but otherwise inside is ok, there's a bit of mold on the seatbelts etc. It's the cream interior with blue piped leather. It comes with 4 keys, 2 electronic and 2 manual type keys. The EAS was rebuilt by myself around 6 years ago and works ok. I believe it may have a failing height sensor as it occasionally throws an error but is then ok again.

Importantly, the BECM is in an unlocked state so if you wanted the vehicle for spares it can easily be removed and coded to another vehicle.

It has the official swan neck towbar and the brakes had new discs and pads all round before she was parked up. She also has an almost new brake booster pump and diesel injection pump. All the windows work as does the sun roof although the sun roof is a bit crunchy round the frame.

I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about it and I'm happy for viewings to take place but I do work strange shifts so it's not always easy to arrange.

It doesn't currently have an MOT but always passed previous to it expiring. It would ideally need to be trailered away but it's up to you.

It's not a brand new vehicle. It's done just over 287k miles but it's a great car and would make an ideal project for someone and as such I reckon £1,000 ono is reasonable with everything included. I have a lot of spares including doors, a bumper, various EAS parts, some engine bits and interior bits.

Location is Northampton, V5 present along with most service history.
