Problems go from worse to worse,, my 1998 freeland diesel just won't fire up, problem started with it losing power at 2500 revs then take your foot off the pedal push back down and fine, then when hot would be very hard to start now it won't start at all have tried bleeding the fuel sytem and still it won't start. It did start two days ago and when i switched it off restarted, left it a while and back to normal it won't start. Tried some of the dreaded easy start and it fired up on that then cut out. My model doesn't have a fuel pump so thats not the problem but now i am stuck to where to look, Anyone and ideas

crack the nuts on top of the injectors and see if any fuel comes out during starting - if not chances are the Fuel Injection Pump is caput - its on the nearside of the engine driven by its own belt
