seems to stall on short manoevers like lining up to park in a space or when parallel parking any ideas?

i will second that, whip it it out and give it a good spray with
carb cleaner or mister muscle oven cleaner

This fault is not restricted to the 3.9, I had it on my last 3.5efi & that unit has no stepper motor, so be prepared to look elsewhere. Good luck!

on the rear of the plenium chamber, drivers side. black plug, attached to the unit, which ti intense and purpose looks like a big plastic nut. also black, think its a 32mm spanner if memory serves me correctly.
