Hello,
I am looking to replace the bulkhead on my 1989 LT77 gear boxed 110. I have had a look at Busters excellent threads on getting various bits off. I have had a search of various similar themed threads re-bulkhead replacement and tried to follow links to various refurb's / ebay shops etc. some still work, some don't.
I am based in Leeds and essentially have two options;
1) Buy a refurb'ed galvanised BH and fit it myself
2) Take the old one off, get it repaired and then galvanised and then fit it myself.
I have heard / seen a number of threads on the second option being full of pitfalls - the main one being BH warping on dipping.
So has anyone got a recommendation for a galvaniser in the Leeds / West Yorkshire area ( would consider travelling further afield ) who could galvanise a repaired bulkhead please?
Or has anyone, close-ish to West Yorkshire, got a refurb'ed bulkhead lurking in the back of their shed for a project that never used it and would consider selling it on?
many thanks for any help in advance,
Richard
