Hi. Any advice on this would be very much appreciated. We have a 1983 110 with reg number CWK**Y which we have had for about 10 years. We have moved abroad & taking the old girl with us will not really be economically possible. We've recently been told that it was one of a collectable press release batch & we were wondering 1 is this correct, & 2 is it worth more than just a normal 110, As i said any advice will be great as it will help us decide whether she stays sat at my brother in laws farm or not.

So its not the one on eBay with the reg CWK 34 Y for £20,000. Some coincidence eh???

No its not the one on e bay but that is what a friend had pointed out to me & I thought holy s***. Thats why I'm tryin to find out if they are worth anything. As we all know you can ask any price on ebay whether you get that much is a different matter. I agree though, one hell of a coincidence. Ours is a 110 county. 7 seater. V8. If it is a rare old bird My only regret is we painted it black not knowing we were taking away originality. Again any info or advice is greatly appreciated.

Sorry for casting aspersions, I think the Dunsfold trust could possibly give you some pointers, good luck though.

No problem at all. I thought the same. It is a hell of a coincidence. Thanks for advice. I'll contact them & keep you informed.

cwk30y and cwk40y are prototypes which pop up in LR books.

Some may have been press vehicles, used for photo's or test vehicles. Below from books I have:

cwk37y, cwk53y, cwk20y, cwk33y, cwk19y, cwk44y, cwk39y, cwk36y

Thanks hippo.
I've just sent an e mail to Dunsfold Trust as advised by elan23 & will post their reply here. I've only not put our full reg number here as I've noticed most people don't but it fits in nicely with the ones posted by you.
Thanks again to Hippo & elan23

Just reading this months Classic Landrover and found an advert from a company called 'Lake4x4' who are looking to buy CWK reg 110's. Their email is oddly enough : Home , might be worth contacting them...nowt to lose anyhow.

Thanks for other link elan23. I'll give them a try if i get no luck with Dunsfold Trust. They have got back to me though & they believe it is a 110 Launch Car. They have CWK 30 & CWK 40 which are 90" prototypes in their collection. They are interested in our 110 but are pretty tied up this week as they are having an open day this coming weekend so very busy preparing for that. They have asked for some pictures & a few more details which I've sent so fingers crossed. Thanks again to everyone for help & advice & I'll let you know how it goes.
