Do'er of stuff and the like
Mrs and I have decided that at present, we dont have the time to finish off her series 3, so we have decided to flog her (the car not the mrs!) and then we will get her another classic when we have moved house and got more space and time.

Pics to follow but the basic description is

1971 series 3 88"
2.25 diesel engine - slow as a decripid labrador but just as faithful and reliable

Tax exempt - no its not a defender pretending to be a series.

Starts runs and drives but the MOT has expired, 10 months tax on it though (as managed to get it the day before the MOT expired!) though of course as its free it doesnt really mean anything...

Bodywork - Overall very good to be honest, very very little corrosion amazingly! They dont build em like they used too it seems. Bit of corrosion in the drivers footwell, wants chopping out and replacing to be honest rather than trying to patch it.

No seats, or roof or back door! basically we removed the roof to make it into a rag top but never got around to finishing it.

Fitted with defender push button doors (as we wanted the anti burst mechanism as the doors kept flying open with the old lift up handled ones... which was a bit scary for her)

V5 is in her name at our address in Nuneaton.

Will want to be collected on a trailer as no seats. Gearbox, etc all fine. Tiniest little oil leak off the transmission... only a couple of drips though unlike the flood on my 110.

Oh the bit which people will cry sacrilige about, its been fitted with defender wheel arches.... Previous owner don diddly done it! Some like it... some dont... Mergh you take your own choice.

Capable of 50mph flat out... on a good day.. with a wind behind you and going down a hill...

Freewheeling hubs, towbar, chequerplated front wings and bonnet, electric fan installed, wants some new engine mounts as the previous owner seemed to have made his own!!! (TIGHT BASTID!) they arent the best.

Pics to follow when it aint dark.

As you can see I am listing it for sale with warts n all.... viewings welcome though i may be a bit cautious about you coming to our house if your a noob so please understand this.

£900

Don't think he was a photographer anyways :D

very sound, (amazingly!) only bits of rust that are starting are in the drivers side footwell, wants chopping out and a new one putting in.

if your interested mate i can take some more pictures for you. I dont mind holding it for someone if they want it.
