Hiya Wills
I thought std fitting was the Scorpions when did they change over?
Never had a problem with Goodyear Wranglers.
The correct tyre sizes are given in the owners handbook including the load ratings, the P38 weighs 2.25 tonnes, you can't just fit any old tyre.
Soon if the new EU regs are fully implemented, only tyres that are homologated for the car will pass the MOT.

Thanks for assuming that I haven't and posting this rather unhelpful post... It would have been better for you to have simply moved onto the next forum topic if you didn't know the answer....
This doesn't help.
I have a Disco 2 TD5, and there is no mention of either the Hurricane wheel or the Wrangler's to which I refer.
I ask again: Can I safely fit 245 / 55 / 18 Goodyear Wrangler's to an 18" Hurricane alloy wheel, where it appears that 255 is the "recommended or standard" width for this rim. This isn't "any old tyre" - it's simply fractionally narrower. Hence the question.
Tyre Size Calculator - Changing Tyres - Etyres
This shows a diameter reduction of 11mm (comparing 245 to 255) which they state is within limits.

Hi Stu
THANK YOU - so very helpful (unlike some other arrogant numpties on here).
I hadn't seen this before - feel very reassured that they're good to go!!
Thanks Stu - so helpful compared to that abusive lowlife Redhand.... his sort just shouldn't be involved in forums... (although that picture of a Hyena is surprisingly appropriate!).
I don't think Data actually mentioned any numbers as I look back over the earlier post - and agree that the general grabbers would be better, but have just sourced 4x Wranglers for just 100 notes and wanted to ensure that they will fit before making a mistake... Sounds like they'll do the job just fine.
