Alright guys... i know there are probably loads of other threads about this and that insurance premiums differ between individuals but in general how much do you think id be looking at? is there a major difference in quotes from 200 and 300's to td5's?

dont think there is much in it.. even v8's came out the same for me.. or near enough.

thanks for reply mate.. it's hard to say really isnt it on this type of topic, id probably imagine it would be a little more on a td5 if anything as the vehicle is likely to be valued more and stuff... insurance is a mess mate haha!

Why not phone one of the specialists and try and get a quote with you as main driver - Adrain Flux, Firebond, Sureterm, Frank Pickles.
Don`t do it over the net and don`t try a comparison website.
If you have other drivers in your family see what adding them as named drivers does to the premium - weirdly it might bring it down
There should be a difference based on value and engine bhp but with the sort of quote that you might be looking at it could well look like rounding.
If you wanted to be creative you could maybe get the cost down with a young driver policy (compulsory tracker, limited miles , no use between 11pm and 5 am for example). Also try a multi-car policy with Admiral if there is another car in the family to insure.

cause most specialists wont insure under 25's or 21's. im 21 in august so im guna try and get on with them!

i had a tracker on my last car insurance. quote was cheap, got 700 quids worth of tracker free allong with subscription. and they gave me money back cause i didnt do all of the miles i said i would..
