Hi all,

Anyone got any suggestions for the best way to secure a '99 reg 110 TD5 with Air Con.

Its currently alarmed, but the immobiliser kept going wrong so was removed by the previous owner.

Safe-T-Pedals apparently don't fit due to the air con under the dashboard. Not a big fan of the gear locks.

There are some older products out there like 'Clutch claw' or disklok.....

Grateful for your thoughts.

diskloks offer something visual that'll slow the thieving gypos down a bit, lots of folks on here have em

Thanks OxonLandy.

Seems to be a popular choice. As far as I can make out, there's no one single solution.

1. Immobilisers seem to be temperamental
2. Steering locks stop steering, but don't stop the vehicle from rolling forward (albeit you can apply steering lock with wheels turned to the curb)
3. Pedal locks stop acceleration, braking, gear changes, but again, don't stop the vehicle rolling.
4. Gear locks can stop the vehicle rolling, provided the clutch is covered, but are easily attacked with a hacksaw.
5. External wheel clamps are large and impractical (unless vehicle is standing for long periods)

Reckon I might use a combination of disklok, pedal locks and audible alarm.
