Hello all.
looking for a bit of help.
A friend has recently got 110 TD5 with about 100k on the clock.
On idle it sounds really smooth. Zero issues. Likewise when you are driving it’s also really smooth and no issues.
However when the RPMs raise to just above idle there’s a horrible vibration / rattle that lasts for about 50-100rpm and then disappears completely.
It happens when you pull away but also when stationary. So it’s not drive train related.
I was thinking possibly exhaust or possibly even a heat shield.
he’s worried about the DMF or timing chain.
anyone got any input?
cheers
