Hi, looking for some advice. Defender 110 TD5 broke down the other week. noticed smoke blowing out the engine on the motorway so pulled over immediately.
RAC come out and the front camshaft seal had blown out completely and emptied the oil all over the engine.
They couldn’t fix it and towed it home (11days later).
I’ve now cleaned the engine down, replaced the seal, filled it back up with oil. It started fine but a lot of white smoke coming out the exhaust. Drove it few hundred yards up the road, didn’t sound right, lack of power and it blew the new camshaft seal out. Any suggestions as to what this could be? Any help would be appreciated greatly. Thanks
Rob
