Hi iv got a few things to sort out,am i right in thinking i can get 88 inch side panels and convert a 110 station wagon
to a 110 utility as in pics,is there any other mods id need to do to get them to fit or would they just bolt on

I suppose one question would be why? Station wagon in the picture (I recognise as being land rover man pics) will be more expensive to buy.

There are loads of normal station wagons around but very few utilities. A utility station wagon is far better for those who spend a lot of time carrying a load or wish for their load to be more secure.
 
Don't the panels need a bit of work where they meet the c pillar? I thought there was some metal fixing that needed to be ground off...
 
This is interesting - something I've pondered too, but always assumed wouldn't work (without having a good reason why, really)
 
Ive always wondered if mine is calssed as a utilty (see signature photos) but Ive not seen any other 110 300tdi utility Defenders around. Were they a standard option on the 300tdi, or built to special request?

They were a special vehicles build. They are now available as a standard vehicle though due to their growing popularity.
 
Since 2009 the new utlity classes as commercial vehicle tax so is popular.

Personally I think if you have a csw then black out windows and add window grates to make it secure.
