Can you fit 110 front springs on the rear of a D1? They look the same as my current springs but slightly more up to the job. My car sags on the driver's side at the rear.

I know rear 110 springs can be fitted but with a little modification. (That's the eventual plan)

Thanks in advance

Land Rover front springs are typically quite a bit shorter than rears, so although the spring rate might be higher (stiffer), the reduced length could cause the rear to start very low.
110 fronts will be approx 380~390mm long - dependant on actual spec, whereas D1 rears are approz 410~430mm - again dependant on actual spec.

Why not just go for HD Disco rears? Unless you don't want the likely 2" lift.
I did this and put the rears on the front. This led to a much tougher, firmer ride all over, i was going for strength for long distance towing of heavy loads. The 2" lift all round was no problem.
I do realise your reasoning is not for exactly the same thing.
