Hi all

I am new to this zone and I am a prospective buyer that is after some info and advice.

At present I have a ford transit custom which is no good for my needs, I am a member of search and rescue team and spend a lot of time of moors and doing 'stuff', I did have an L200 but the 'boot' was no good. I use my van as a camper also which I converted myself, its what I do for a living but on vans.
I am ex military (24years in the army) so I know how they drive and handle.

I need a 4 x 4 which has room to part convert for a 1 / 2 night vehicle, several questions and advice if you can:-
1.How long is the rear section , from back of seats to rear door ?
2. How wide is the rear section
3. Do the second row of seats fold flat ? I know the military ones did.
4. What would people recommend to look for when buying apart from the obvious signs of rust
5. What spec and model would be recommended .

thanks in advance of some help

Welcome. I suppose it depends how much of an off-roader you need and your budget. For instance you could acquire a pulse ambulance and convert it, very expensive. You could also convert a 110 or a disco 3/4 for your needs. If your just wanting something with an extra bit of traction you could get a 4wd van
