Hi there,

looking to fit a diesel heater and need to a take a feed from the main tank, yes i could t-piece it but is the pipe shown circled in blue on the picture below a take-off, say for an optional heater, or is it a breather. it appears to be blanked off on mine and all the spares schematics show a bolt that covers it. i'm hoping its a take off that i can re-use.

cheers all

Steve

It is indeed a return for the senders that don't have the inbuilt return. I don't think you will easily get another pickup without modifications as nothing else goes to the bottom of the tank.

i'll do a search, the heater came with a pickup but i'd need to drill a hole in the tank or in the fuel pickup at the top of the tank to fit the pickup
Yes that is a stand pipe, few vids on youtube how to drill and fit them.
I prefer them as that way the heater fuel system in no way effects the cars fuel system.
