Hi all, Can anyone help please, the steering on the 101 I use is crap! Can anyone tell me how to start a PAS conversion, what parts do I need, can I get some drawings, looked all over the net, no joy!

Dummy Ejection Facilitator..

PAS reservoir
PAS Pump
PAS box.
Twin belt pulley

Fit to vehicle
Connect hoses from pump to reservoir & PAs steering box
Connect steering column to Pas Box.
Fit belt from Pump pulley to crank pulley.

Jobs done.

I think you may be over thinking this.

Connect pipework

One way is to use a RRClassic box, turned on its end like this: see photos..

I know this thread's a few months old, but...


How is the RR classic box different from a standard 4 bolt adwest?

What i mean is, ive heard of people using defender boxs, but you mention the RR specifically, and they both look (from my 5 mins looking) to be the same, so... (?)


Id like to do a conversion on mine, but its LHD, and, whilst RHD boxes are easy to come by, ive not stumbled upon a LHD yet.

Although someone did say that the RHD london taxis, possibly, used the same part as LHD defenders... but i dont know if that was true or not.

This looks like a left had drive box with the arm turned 180 deg
