After deciding to abandon my plans to restore my 1999 D1 V8.
I have always wanted a V8 Defender but to be honest cannot afford the silly prices being asked.
This conversion has been done so I have lots of reference points and advice.
Plans are to get the Discovery stripped down to the rolling chassis and get it into my garage out of the freezing cold.
I have the D1 V8 XS doors up for sale, I will have them removed with plug connectors so they will be ready to go.

How far have you got now?

Ah well I started stripping the beast down and its in great condition with only a bit of welding needed at the front, rear is challenging but still fixable, sills great and original, A and B posts perfect.
Sorry everyone it is getting restored and I will keep an eye out for a rotten running V8 in the spring and put it in storage for the 100' hybrid

Onward!!
