So it's coming up on the 10th anniversary of me buying the defender and using it as my daily driver.

This is what I've learnt over that time.

I'm an idiot.
Or rather - I'm a a masochistic idiot.
I have singularly failed to provide my wife with any sane reason as to why I drive it.

Why do we do this to ourselves?

Very symbolic that a 10th anniversary is represented by tin and the 11th by steel

This is so accurate all of my colleagues wonder why I have bought a 31 year old vehicle and throw money and time at it every week!!

Rust = 1st anniversary as it should have already been delivered with some light factory added corrosion.

Galvanised = 15th anniversary as by then the chassis is toast and you're hitting the buy it now button on eblag for that shiny new chassis
