Retired but still dead keen on own repairs (where possible).
MOT (Oct. 2013) warned fuel tank strap is corroded, yes it sure is. Got 9 months before possible failure (MOT or strap!). Haynes guide to removal of tank and subframe looks a bit much.
Question is, can the support strap be replaced while supporting the tank in place somehow, and avoid all that dismantling??
