I had a Merc with heated screen wash, it was actually dangerous in cold weather as it allowed you to screenwash a very cold screen and cover it with ice. What learned was you want the screen to be above freezing as well as the screen wash. It was a bit pointless because by the time the heater had warmed the screen the engine heat would warm the screenwash. It was one of those German overcomplicated things.

My heatshot system heats the screen wash as it exits the reservoir & not the jets. The jets freeze but constantly activating the washer pump eventually forces water to the jets & thaws them out.
Mix that with heated jets and your be the cool dude on the street for 2 days a year!! Heated screen too and you'd be a god!!!

I'm sorry, that wasn't meant to be sarcasm. I appreciate the correction, I didn't know there were goodies out there that heated the screenwash!

I've yet to find a decent solution to salt spray on my visor (motorbike helmet)If I am honest, I think it will be more effort to fit than the marginal gains it will give me.
I don’t have to deal with salt spray, and frozen windscreen isn’t an issue most of the time (garaged vehicle).

Convert a visor with scramble roll ons. Bit of fishing line to hold the top down so it don’t blow in the wind.Nice idea but think how many you'd need

i've got a 'wiper blade' that attaches to your thumb, but because its tight enough not to slip off, it restricts blood flow and thumb gets cold

Back in the 'eighties when I was a road tanker driver our biggest problem was motorway driving when the screen wash nozzles used to freeze all the time, cured by adding copious quantities of methanol in the washer container … didn't do the cab's paintwork any favours, but needs must etc !
Driving just my cars these days I find a good screen wash like Halfrauds pre-mix winter product (the pink one) seems to work well & it smells nice into the bargain
