It is her choice. I suppose one might say that once they go black they never go back. :(

Say no more!!!!
We have two chairs and a small table like this in the trailer back in the UK. It never sees the light of day!!

We has gottid our onyons in today/
Have them hanging up in the hall to dry before we string them.
We didn't do this drying stage before, which explains mebbe why some of them rottid.

Stuff you learn off tinternet!

Still no accurate news as to whether when W goes back to blighty on Satdi whether her op planned for chooseday will go ahead.
I have a mate who works for the BMA and he may just have an bit more info, I am tempted but then don't want to put him in a posish where he cannot answer me. Tis a right bind and she cannot get her mind off it.
Time for me to put the hens to bed and get off to kip.

night all!

Er, obvs!!!

Hence my post about my mate who works for the BMA.

She hasn't heard and that appears to be good news, so unless she can find out to the contrary she will be flying out tomoz.
She can't get through to the admissions peeps, they must be swamped with peeps trying to find ou the same thing, and/or they must be ringing peeps to say yay or nay whether to come in or not.

Right pain, nowt else we can do about it.

And once you have checked in on line with Ryanflippingair, you cannot go back in and chnage your booking to include another bag.

Grrr!
Yet again a thing they don't tell you.

Now I've done it. 😟
Herself has rescued a 1930's ladies dressing chair from her mothers.
It is a nicely made Loyyds Loom of London osier/wicker and bent wood framed affair with a proper wood/steel sprung framed seat.
"WE" have decided to update it from its original pastel pink (then overpainted mint-green) to a satin black and to reupholster the seat with a striped cotton duck fabric.
Not done any upholstery before, so it will be err.... FUN of course. So far £45 in materials.

Very nice.
You prolly already know this but I wouldn't recommend making piping from striped fabric, do a solid colour instead, or buy some rope and hand stitch it on. Lovely project, hope you enjoy it 😊

Went to me bike club annual rally and track day this week, went on Wednesday and got home this morning. Superb few days and meet ups with mates who I only see once a year. I don't take to the track anymore, but I can still drink beer and have fun. Went in me trusty tratter. But I have got to find a better plan for sleeping arrangements, got too old for camping in a tent which I can't stand up in. So that is the last tenting session for me.

Morning All. :D
Another decent day (ATM). :)
Upon further research the chair is not wicker but "Lloyd Loom" and is probably 1930's in origin.
I wondered how the strands were so fine and so uniform. Now I know. :)
Ran out of the spray acrylic, have ordered more.
No specific plans for today. Have a great day. :D
...bbbbut you said, sort of, that it was Lloyd Loom in your first post about it, just a tiny bit mispelt. So I think we all thort you had got what it was!! No matter, now you know!

It is funny, but great stuff. We have a pair of bedside cabinets made by them, in a guest bedroom in Dorset. Obvs most of it is wood, but the tops etc are like that, tried to find a pic but none are the same as ours have pull down flap-type doors to the small area at the top.
Best of luck wiv it!! :) :)
