Well we survived the thunderstorms, torrential rain and heavy hail that others in the south of France had.
3 dead at least, others missing.
Rose Garlic crop in a neighbouring town totoally destroyed , roads flooded all over, bits of the hi speed train track Toulouse to Paris washed away. Been pretty terrible really and more widespread than usual.

You have to google "French Storm latest" or summat to find it on the Brit news.

And our hens must be laying outside of their house as we cannot find them, so I'll have to chop down all the greenery we usually leave them to enjoy.

Afternoon folks .

Doing little jobs here as have builder/s here.
Put the pool pump in and now its running a couple of hours a day. tried to pump the water/tadpoles off the top cover, but the pump kept blowing apart, (yes I got wet) dont know why, but as as the output hose was full I managed to take it off and let it sypon most of the water/tadpoles out, no frogs legs were grown or eaten. Anyway whats left is drying out nicely.

Now the builders. I need a little rant. SO

The Guy who is here, who asked for the work has worked here before and knows I dont just tape joints in plasterboard ceilings, He has plastered the main lounge and ceilings, and has seen my work.

He says he finished. i look up and see taped plasterboard and say OH no you arent, theres also about 8 bags of plaster remaining on the floor, You want more work dont try it on.
Says he will be back tomorrow to do it, still holding about £800 after giving him £400 today.

Why do I bother, why is it so hard. Rant over.

I have been working out what I need to to the heating and plumbering today.
So 200m of pipe to start.
Ms looking at colours, Not really shes looking at how we fit stuff in a 2.5 x 3m (ish) bathroom how hard is it, let me tell you its not easy.

Stress free now, might be time for a beer and a steak, happy days summer is coming.

I do everything my self now takes longer but is stress free and its how you want it got some ingenious ways of lifting heavy stuff

Went to bnq yesdi to get meself a 2m lenf of 40x40mm L shape aluilimininumum to run from me castle to me garage to support me harvester pipe. Will take a bit of messing about to gerrit fitted so eye modded me temp setup to take out two u shape bits that were holding water. Pipe is quite strong so eye were worried about running it across the top of me loose trellis on me fence. Now its lurnt its new shape eye moved it and it held ok. Also put a block ov wood to lift it a bit higher inner nuvva location. Tested viv me baby watering can and all water now runs down me pipe wiv out stopping. Result is me squirrels can now climb me fence and go under me pipe.

Morning All.
Washed the mini yesterday and so of course it then rained all over it.
MIL has been seen by the plastic surgeon; not good news. Wound is still mucky and so she has to go back to theatres for more debridement. Then they are going to ut a vac-pump on it to encourage some healing.
What we are sensing is that she's too old/frail for a successful skin graft and 2 wound sites would overload her so they are sticking with one, avoiding an op. I reckon she will be in hospital for a longish stay.
Sadly, the disconnection from her surroundings is exacerbating her dementia and she's getting worse & worse.
A shopping day.
