Maybe if they are not lubed properly. The lube is there to allow them to take the angle tighten. What you are doing by angle tightening is applying a specific amount of stretch into the bolts.

Stuck now, do I risk it and leave it as it is or take it off again and fit another new gasket? Never had this problem messing with honda's lol.
