Hi all, I'm new to the forum and have a problem with my discovery 300tdi it started by not turning off and I was told it was the fuel pump solenoid so I took 1 out of my mates that he uses for spares, all was fine for about a week then it stopped turning off again, I tested the solenoid I put in by putting the live wire on and of it and heard no click so I brought a brand new solenoid and put it in and it was fine for about 3 weeks but know its not turning of again, does anyone know why this keeps happening?
Thanks for all replies and I hope this is in the right place

Cheers, perron

Mine does it if I'm super low on diesel... But is be checking for a short somewhere that might be killing the solenoid. Also I'd crimp up the connection abit so it's very tight fit

have the solenoids been covered in swarf when they've been removed?

they're not britpart ones are they?

What voltage is your alternator kicking out?
