Would a seized caliper cause the abs light to come on.its been seized for some time as ive only had car a fortnight. the pads are less than half the thickness of set on other side of car.

front caliper.comes on. goes off goes off if i turn off re start, back on after i brake. dont feel pulsing through pedal.

If the siezed caliper is causing a vibration, as I imagine it will, then it could cause the ABS fault, but try to free it out & see how it goes. You will need to free in the long run anyway

Have stripped down tonight and found its the carrier thats seized.the pins are so corroded they are flaking less rust on the titanic.new carrier from landrover £190 + vat, nice man in wales £59.90 inc postage.

prety shure pins pull out of carrier and just replace pins and seals not to expencive

Cant get them out tried all sorts of ways. bought new carrier now.
